Suzanne Benton is a native New Yorker whose pioneering career has spanned seven decades and reached across 32 countries. A versatile printmaker, painter, sculptor, mask maker, and performance artist, she has exhibited in more than 150 solo shows and is represented in museum and private collections worldwide. Now in her ninth decade, Benton continues her lifelong creative exploration with an exhibition entitled Monoprints with Chine Colle at DRV Gallery in Gulfport, Florida opening March 6, 2026.

Suzanne began her unique style of monoprint-making with Chine colle (glued paper collage) in 1983. The artist works on her 30 by 50 inch Charles Brand press. The colle; papers are hand-made, pre-inked and hand-painted. Collagraph printing plates are inked individually for each print, and emboss a complex and rich texture onto the prints.

An opening reception with the artist will be held March 6th at DRV Gallery 5:30-8:30PM. The evening will also feature live music with Jim Gilmour & Friends from 6-8pm and a wine and beer selection from Stella's Divine Wine & Gourmet. The exhibition will is on display Saturdays March 7th & 14th 11AM-4PM.
