Participants will learn to create jewelry as a unique platform for artistic expression as opposed to stereotypical, repetitive handicrafts. Each participant would create their own two pairs of earrings to take home!
No experience necessary. 12 years and up. Materials provided.
About the Instructor:
Originally from Europe, Vanya Robinson has traveled this World. Yet, it was the Sonoran Desert that inspired her unique approach to art. She collected different dead botanical materials from the Desert floor and assembled them into various, mostly recognizable forms, painted with acrylics.
Upon relocating to Florida, the desert materials got substituted with the offerings from the beaches. She uses seashells and her playful artistic vision for sculpting all imaginable sorts of colorful objects and creatures. While initial steps in Arizona might have been somewhat experimental, they traced a path to a fully blown and recognizable form of art. She takes pride in the fact that in the world of Art, where every avenue has already been explored, she came up with something unique that can be associated with her name only.
