Catching The Glint Of Gold by Robin Carroll
Light shines through blue green water illuminating glint of a gold ring drifting in the currents. Sea grasses sway below. You would only notice this treasure if the light aligned with it to bring it into view. Imagine what stories and memories connect with this find. Pastel 18x26 inches.
CAUSE: The Hello In There Foundation honors John Prine’s legacy by patterning with communities to support & uplift those who are marginalized, discriminated against or forgotten. https://www.thehellointherefoundation.org/
ARTIST STATEMENT: I paint pathways & openings. I resonate with the energy of the untamed beauty of nature and the outdoors. My intention is to let the magical current flow through me into the artwork, connecting the viewer with their own inner light. I invite you to step into a painting, merge with the image. Allow yourself and the energy of your space to be Transformed. I am primarily a pastel painter, although I also take excursions into oil painting and watercolor. Here on the Gulf Coast of Florida, I spend lots of time outside with fellow plein air artists painting landscapes & seascapes. In the studio, I combine representational painting and my imagination to infuse the paintings with my inner vision of the infinite.
