About Rob Tyre:
Rob Tyre is a professional songwriter, performer, and studio musician.
Tyre's voice was described in the St. Petersburg Times as a “warm,
bluesy rasp,” and “grit covered in honey,” and David Gilmore of Pink
Floyd noted Rob's “great right hand,” talented in slide guitar and
percussive finger-picking. Musical Director for the late Valerie
Carter, Rob has toured with James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat,
and Buddy and Julie Miller, among other musical greats. A master of
the guitar and a musician’s musician, Rob delivers a unique
performance, and is known for his humble and comedic storytelling.
